Janice enjoyed the busy farm life, including the family farm market and running Alpine Orchards. She will be remembered for her delicious pies and her great love of family. It wasn’t uncommon to see several grandchildren sitting at the kitchen table visiting with her on a daily basis, often playing cards and laughing. Children and grandchildren would stop by and visit on their own, not out of obligation but because everyone felt loved and taken care of in her presence. Jan went to church regularly and volunteered, baking and caring for others suited her servant heart.

The Schweitzers’ will greet family and friends on Thursday, November 8, 2018 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 6:00pm to 8:00 pm at the Beushel Funeral Home, 5018 Alpine Avenue NW, Comstock Park, with a Rosary Service at 7:30 pm with Deacon Jerry Roersma.
