Elizabeth "Liz" Wirgau
Elizabeth "Liz" Wirgau, age 37, of Kent City and formerly of Alpena, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, June 24, 2018 as the result of an automobile accident. Elizabeth was born to Matthew Krawczak and Ruth Krawczak in Alpena, MI. Growing up she enjoyed to "make stuff" as she was very creative and crafty. Those traits never changed as she later excelled at interior design as an adult. Her creative talents carried through her education. Liz held an Associate's degree in Applied Science – Architectural Technology, and a Bachelor's Degree of Fine Arts in Interior Design. She was an Insight Manager for Byrne Electric. On May 18, 2002 she married her high school sweetheart Christopher Wirgau. Elizabeth loved her mudding truck "Pink Lizzie" which she and Chris had built together. She loved everything outdoors from simple nature to active adventures. She enjoyed hand dipped ice cream, baking, movies, snow, and above all spending time with family. Her infectious smile and positive inspiration will be dearly missed. Liz is survived by her husband, Chris, both her parents, Matthew Krawczak and Ruth Krawczak three siblings, Jaclynn Krawczak, Matthew (Kim) Krawczak, Maria (Nick) Nykerk, maternal grandmother Joanna Filipiak, nieces and nephews Kyla, Noah, Kruger, Archer, Bennett, Claire, Scarlett, and Logan, in-laws Sharon and Dean Wirgau, sister in law Heather LaHaie, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. She is preceded in death by her cat Transmission (Tranny), and several other family members. The family will greet family and friends at Holy Family Catholic Church, on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at 425 South State Street, Sparta from 10 a.m. until the Memorial Mass of Christian Burial to be offered at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Msgr. Terrence L. Stewart as celebrant.
